Privacy policy
This document is based on the Subscription Terms & Conditions, but is intended to provide further information on the use of b+s Connects for ServiceNow. Our concern is to provide you with the best possible product and service. To do this, like many other companies, we rely on data. In doing so, we try to avoid the possession of personal data wherever possible. This means that we are not interested in getting personal data of your customers, agents or supervisors. But, we are interested in how you as a company use our products, regardless of the individual. We want to develop our products for you, so we need to know how our products are being used. In addition, if a problem should occur, we want to know if your company is affected by it before you open a support ticket. These are just a few examples to demonstrate how we make use of data.
What is personal data?
The term "personal data" is used in the context of the GDPR to refer to any information which is directly or indirectly associated with an identified or identifiable natural person. "Personal data" means either data that directly identifies you (such as your name, email address or phone number) or data that can be linked or combined to identify you without much effort (such as an account ID number or IP address). Any information that does not identify you is considered "non-personal data".
How do we get data from you?
We get data from you when:
- you provide it to us (e.g. when you choose to send us error reports / log files)
- we collect it automatically through our product (e.g. though Telemetry data)
- you use our CDN (e.g. we get your public IP address)
- it was made available for us by the CRM (e.g. we see which version of our product you installed)
What do we do with your data?
When you provide us data, we use it in the ways for which you have given us permission and we do not share the data with third parties. In general, we use your data to provide and improve our products and services for you.
How do we store and protect your data?
We are committed to protecting your data once we have it by the use of business and technical security measures. First of all, we are Contact Center and CRM specialists. Therefore, we use certified public cloud services for data processing and storage to ensure the highest reasonable level of security. However, if we learn of a security breach, we will notify you so that you can take appropriate protective measures.
We also aim to keep your data only for as long as we need it. Once we no longer need it, we will destroy it.
